Chelsey Magness is hard to pin down in a few sentences. Chelsey is one of the few AcroYoga teachers that has received certifications from both AcroYoga groups in North America. She has trained and taught across the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. With a background in Ashtanga Vinyasa, traditional Hatha, Dutch Acrobatics, Thai massage, Slacklining, rock-climbing, whitewater guiding and ultra-endurance adventure sport, Chelsey uses her teaching to help her students (and herself!) constantly re-asses what is possible and to radically expand the limits of physical and mental potential.
She's been featured in The New York Times, Womens Adventure Magazine, Wend Magazine, and has been fortunate to teach at such esteemed establishments as Yoga Journal Conferences, Telluride Yoga Festival, Kripalu, and Wanderlust.
Extra tidbit about Chelsey (from Jason!):
In the search for potions of love, happiness, and immortality, there are many ingredients that are difficult to find. Even if one can pinpoint the ingredient, it is almost impossible to successfully distill the essence in a way that is useable.
Most sages do agree however, that Chelsey's laugh is one such ingredient. So far all attempts at bottling it have failed. Until such time, our only option is to stay close to her....

We made it to Punta Arenas with all of our bags and bikes, which is in itself an amazing feat. In past years we have had bikes and bags not show up, which makes the race even more interesting! Punta Arenas and the Hostel Victoria feels very much like a home away from home, ...

Jason, Daniel, Paul and myself have had an amazing time here in SanDiego thanks to our YogaSlackers Safe House #101 (also known as the Staudigel household). This house has been our landing zone before and after many big adventures, and was even the place where Jason and I had our wedding reception two years ago.
Needless to say, we have had many awesome memories here, and it has been a great pad for training, relaxing ...

After a long journey back home we are all back in the states safe and sound. We are almost fully rested, however, we are not quite over our withdrawal of 10 cent chai teas (available on every street corner) and $1.00 thali plates (a classic all you can eat lunch plate). Jason, myself and Daniel cannot stop deeply inhaling the crisp, clean mountain air and are very grateful that our water can be drank straight ...
Rest Day in Hampi!!!
2013-01-18 20:39:26 UTC
After many days of driving coupled with a bunch of mini acro, yoga and handstand stops, we finally made it to Hampi! Hampi was to be our mandatory get out of the shaw and play stop. What was only going to be a one day stop, turned into 2 and a half days. As many people know, Slackers do not fare well being cooped up in a rickshaw all day, so we did what we ...
