The team that brought you Moving Humans is happy to be back online and excited to bring you an incredible offering from the international YogaSlackers duo of Sam Salwei and Raquel Hernandez-Cruz.

Join for one or both of their fun and challenging yet accessible workshop offerings in Cape Town:

WORKSHOP 1
Slackro: Slackline Yoga and AcroYoga Foundations
Open Level
13:00-15:00 (2 hours)
Cost: R200 per person

In this open-level class, we will explore the unique relationship between Slackline Yoga and AcroYoga, blending balance, focus, and connection. We’ll begin each session by practicing a foundational pose on the ground, then take that same pose onto the slackline, and finally, bring it into AcroYoga by performing it on a partner. Through this progressive approach, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of how these practices complement each other, building a stronger and more versatile skill set.

This class is designed for everyone—whether you’re new to slacklining, yoga, or AcroYoga, or already have experience in one or more of these areas. No prerequisites are required! We will start from the basics and guide you step by step, allowing each participant to progress as far as their individual skills and comfort levels allow.

Slackline Yoga: Foundations

Embark on a transformative journey with Slackline Yoga, a practice that redefines your sense of balance and mental focus. Often referred to as Slackasana, this unique discipline combines the physicality of yoga with the meditative focus of balancing on a 1-inch wide ‘yoga mat’ – the slackline. Experience a moving meditation that engages your complete body awareness, taking your yoga practice to a new level of mindfulness and equilibrium.

In this 90-minute ‘Slackshop,’ we will explore the foundational elements of the Slackasana series. The class is designed to cater to all skill levels, offering a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone from beginners to seasoned practitioners. You will learn the basics, including kneeling, sitting, standing, an arm balance and an inversion. Yes, you read correctly!

Slackline Yoga is not just for yogis; it’s for everyone – climbers, couch potatoes, athletes, and anyone seeking a new form of physical and mental discipline. It’s an invitation to take your yoga practice off the traditional mat and into a space where balance meets meditation.

No previous experience with slacklining or yoga is necessary. Come join us in this engaging and enlightening Slackshop, where every step on the line is a step towards greater mindfulness and poise.
