Abid has been an outdoor and fitness enthusiast for his entire life and became a certified YogaSlacker instructor in the summer of 2012. Not only did YogaSlackers teacher training bring tons of unique and talented slackers as a welcome addition into his life, Abid credits his YS training with introducing a whole new discipline of mental focus and balance that has helped his acroyoga and all of his other athletics. It also helped to complement many of his other circus-based activities. In the last few years, Abid has gained the wisdom to be able to see how to adapt his life to suit his wants and needs, on his own terms. He now devotes a larger portion of his time in his art studio creating mixed media (primarily oil) portraits.  Abid leads an active lifestyle of resistance training, contact sports, climbing, slackline, and acroyoga. You can usually find him training at the local MMA gym, neighborhood park or circus center training handstands.  When he's not in those places, he can be found in the studio creating his next oil painting or at the office as a practicing MD.
