Growing up in southern Ohio, she always felt that there was more to life than what she was seeing. In 2014, her final year at the University of Cincinnati, while interviewing to be a news anchor, it hit her that she could not play a part in that world, so corrupt and money focused. Where was the life, the adventure, the soulful lessons and playfulness? So she took up the Yoga Training from the studio she had been trading at for the past four years and opened a new book to her life. After graduation, she moved out to Moab, UT, where she found out how much of a playground the world really is. It was here that she found out about river life, from rafting in 18’ oar boats to Stand Up Paddle Boarding down whitewater or anchoring in for some yoga. She embraced the nomadic life and moved around for the next few years, picking up new hobbies and friends, yet always finding her way back to Moab. In 2017 she returned in her built-out Tacoma, ready for a new adventure in a place she had learned to call home. It was then that she met the people who showed her a path she had only dreamed of. Learning slacklining and acroyoga became addicting, as a form of expression, meditation and connection that just made sense to share with the world. It sparked her fire and she began avidly pursuing these passions in her life. She traveled to India and Thailand that fall to continue her yoga studies and fell even more in love with the culture surrounding Yogaslackers.  Currently located in Portland, Oregon - you can find her slacking, spinning and jamming at the parks.  Contact Jess Joy: p: (937)403-6302 e: [email protected] Social Media: Instagram: @jessicasjoyride Facebook: Jessica Joy Holt Blog:
