Bio
I began slacklining in 2009 as a type of balance training to better my climbing skills. Starting with a short piece of webbing, I approached the line with my typical stubborn determination to do my best. I quickly found slackening to be the best full body awareness tool I had ever tried! Bonus, it was also lots of fun.
I have always been attracted to physical pursuits as a way to calm the mind and bring balance in myself. As a child, i regularly felt a need to get outside. I grew up riding lots of BMX on ramps, later taking up mountain biking and road biking. On the nature side, I also found hiking, snowboarding, and rock climbing- these are now some of my favorite moving meditations along with yoga.
For my practice on the slackline I find stillness in the space of static poses and continually refine movement into effortless flow. Teaching must be in my genes, too many people to count in my family are schoolteachers. I take great joy in sharing knowledge and helping others learn.

I completed YogaSlackers teacher training in 2011; Bossy Flyer training in 2015; Acro teacher training with Lux of Seattle Acro in 2015, and countless hours of workshops and classes.
I am available to teach at festivals, private events, one-on-one, and in group settings. You can be certain to find me each year in the YogaSlackers slack park teaching slacklining during the annual Red Rocks Rendezvous in Red Rocks Canyon, Las Vegas, Nevada. Look for the super rad, tall guy having all the fun. That’s probably me!
