Frequently asked questions

What if I am completely new?

All levels are welcome! Beginners will take daily lessons while independent riders are free to kite to their hearts desire.

Yes, you can kite on your own if you’re an IKO certified independent rider. Otherwise, you can demonstrate your skills on the first day. If you are not an independent rider, you can participate in supervised practice or join a lesson to get the skills you need to kite independently.

We expect 15-20 knots daily. If the wind decides to take a break and it turns out to be a beautiful day at the beach, we’ll enjoy it the old school way with yoga, slackline yoga, acroyoga, and handstand lessons. You can also bring a book to ignore for the entire week and return home with a fresh coating of sand.

For sure! You can both enjoy the yoga, acro, and slackline classes together, and have some alone time while the other is kiting. Who knows, maybe your partner will get inspired and try a Discover Lesson, but no pressure!

Absolutely. We would work with you to determine family pricing depending on the size of your family and ages. However, the adults in the family should come prepared to supervise their children at all times, as we will not provide childcare. Families should expect that one adult will need to supervise the children while the other adults participate in lessons or workshops, meaning they may not be able to attend all classes.

Children 14 and older can join our workshops and kiteboarding lessons, provided they can swim and understand safety instructions.

Please note that there is a non-refundable $500 deposit. You may cancel your reservation and receive a refund according to the following schedule:

  • If you cancel between August 2nd and September 1st: You will receive a 50% refund.
  • If you cancel after September 1st or do not show up for your reservation: You will not be eligible for any refund.

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of cancellation.

We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance at the time of booking to protect yourself against unexpected cancellations or emergencies. Most travel insurance policies offer coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, and delay, as well as medical expenses and other travel-related issues. Be sure to review the policy details and restrictions carefully to ensure that you are fully covered.
